Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Group panel featured Arquitectonica

ULI_ARQArquitectonica’s Founding Principal Bernardo Fort-Brescia, FAIA, served as an expert panelist at an Urban Land Institute event that explored development in Miami that is less dependent on large parking garages.

A standing room only crowd of more than 100 real estate and industry professionals attended the recent event at Florida International University’s Hollo School of Real Estate.

Fort-Brescia, who has designed hundreds of towers around the globe, has long been an advocate of relaxing parking requirements for residential, commercial and mixed use developments.

He has championed zoning codes that allow for shared parking and provide for better transit, bicycle and pedestrian connectivity as an alternative to auto-dependent development.
